Do we know if they plan to offer a follow up of the 5c? Apple isn't usually in the business of making one-off product lines, but I haven't heard any speculation. My wife loves the color of her 5c, so I'd love to get her an updated one

I want to get wowed with this event like I was with the 2008 event.
  • ICANTWAIT 9/9/2014 3:34:01 PM
@Carrie Mihalcik I am thinking a full TV, not just the streaming box. That would be a huge surprise.
  • mike gil 9/9/2014 3:34:10 PM
    whats in the white box
  • James Martin 9/9/2014 3:34:20 PM

@mike gil Good question - we want to know too!
  • blaise johnny 9/9/2014 3:37:03 PM
Looks like they're prepared for a long keynote. I think they will unveil everything today, but each product will ship in different dates (could be months separating them). I'm very excited, cant wait.

On the launch of iPhone 5, Apple said that 4 inch is the perfect size for smartphone and one hand use. Why now they go for 4.7 inch and even 5.5 inch? Were they wrong before? or it's just that they know that android are making progress making larger phones?
  • iNetworkTech 9/9/2014 3:37:30 PM
@CarrieMihalcik @ICANTWAIT I think it would be awesome too - but even better if it was an actual TV instead of a set-top box. I still long await the day when I will be watching an Apple Live event in my living room on my 52" Apple TV.
  • justashtiani 9/9/2014 3:37:37 PM
I feel like the white box means entering a new stage, or product. I just wish all the speculation would stop.
  • iNetworkTech 9/9/2014 3:37:52 PM
@mikegil The white box is where Apple are doing the event - outside the Flint Center, CA
  • iHope 9/9/2014 3:38:12 PM
You better deliver Apple or I will be tremendously dissapointed
  • rambabu 9/9/2014 3:38:15 PM
    ipod touch ...longlive
  • @andyzoric 9/9/2014 3:38:37 PM
The only hard piece of evidence that we are getting an "iWatch" today is that Nike laid off a lot of people in their fuel band division, and Nike has existing integration with Apple.
  • Totz 9/9/2014 3:38:39 PM
    Really hoping for an iWatch

I came for biscuit photos. Not disappointed.
  • Nio_Go 9/9/2014 3:39:19 PM
I have two guesses on the white box. Either an actual Apple Store to start selling products after the presentation, or a fake house with all the functional home kit gadgets.
  • Er 9/9/2014 3:39:52 PM
Whats the video above going to display?
  • Carrie Mihalcik 9/9/2014 3:40:43 PM
@Er The CNET live show will be starting in just a few minutes.
  • LaCorey Will 9/9/2014 3:42:12 PM
@GavanBruderer if they do, it will most likely be a 5S inside a plastic case. It's a lower cost for them to make, and they can still sell it for a high margin.
  • David Sergison 9/9/2014 3:42:23 PM
I think Cook has held the helm long enough now to really leave his mark after todays event. Obviously it is never about making a big impression alone, more being consistent with the business; however I think the Apple faithful have been patient for a long time and expect big things to be unveiled today, myself included!! #iWatchPlease
  • Mse5061 9/9/2014 3:42:29 PM
    @JohnFromLisbon That spread looks great.
  • Yosh 9/9/2014 3:42:47 PM
I think with bigger displays and ios 8 it will be hard for me to be disappointed! Just hoping the price is right!
  • iNetworkTech 9/9/2014 3:44:09 PM
@ICANTWAIT @CarrieMihalcik @Nio_Go I have an idea about the white box. The keynote's live streaming from there, but what if it is a house like in samsung's s5 launch? And in the living room, an Apple TV! And they show off mum & dad's new iphone, the kids' new ipad's and dad's iwatch - a perfect way for all the puzzle to fit.

@AhmedMomin With the introduction of a smart watch, the small screen smartphone market will become obsolete. Apple wants everyone to own an iWatch, iPhone and iPad - and the only way to ensure this is the case is to make the iPhone bigger and to release a bigger iPad as well (probably next year).
  • Sammy 9/9/2014 3:49:25 PM
And that today is a critical moment for apple to deliver something big. If they do not I believe apple will have a big negative view on them. Without a home run many customers who are big apple fans may switch, imo.

I hope the white building isn't some trick to lure in the media then attack them with nerf weapons, while the real event starts somewhere else.
