  • spizzy 3/9/2015 6:42:03 PM
No killer app here. It's cool, sure. But even at 349 it doesn't bring much new functionality for something that will be obsolete next year.
  • Andrew 3/9/2015 6:42:05 PM
A little disappointed that there weren't many new details about the new watch. The new MacBook looks nice though!
  • moose 3/9/2015 6:42:19 PM
Nothing new there - they're largely announcing apps that could be written for any smartphone, what about battery life? did I miss that or was it not mentioned?
  • Expected More 3/9/2015 6:42:25 PM
The macBook line got really confusing. I wanted a new macBook Air, now not sure if I want a new improved Air or the new macBook. Hope CNET does the side-by-side comparison soon.
  • Björn Svensson 3/9/2015 6:42:37 PM
I really llikethat new MacBook, but i'm a ittle bummed that Apple wont make a combined Laptop and Tabletlike the Yoga, where you can flip the screen all the way back and use it as a tablet.
  • buckeyedad 3/9/2015 6:42:49 PM
so it's a watch, and it does stuff...
  • ammar 3/9/2015 6:42:53 PM
didn't impress me at all , wAS WAITING FOR A WOW!! but it WAS NOTHING
  • emanon 3/9/2015 6:43:01 PM
they would have made a killing if they started at $199
  • Shara Tibken 3/9/2015 6:43:01 PM

    The $10,000 Apple Watch Edition

  • AmpedPhoto 3/9/2015 6:43:03 PM
Looks like I'm getting a Pebble Color...
  • Loretta5ue 3/9/2015 6:43:11 PM
iWatch - It needs GPS to replace a sport watch. garmins cost $400, but it won't replace until GPS & longer battery life.
  • Ryan 3/9/2015 6:43:15 PM
I'm more interested in advances in Carplay, Apple TV and Homekit then a watch.
  • Max Buondonno 3/9/2015 6:43:19 PM
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for the new MacBook! The Apple Watch, well, it's apple and they're making a smartwatch that works with their phones. Hello Apple Edition Samsung Galaxy Gear.
  • emanon 3/9/2015 6:43:53 PM
since apple pushed the health aspect of it, can you swim in it? can't do tri's with it.
  • Robby 3/9/2015 6:44:07 PM
this is exactly why i never understood appeal of Apple Watch, it doesn't do enough and being even more tuned in to my devices isn't really seen as a plus.
  • Lucas 3/9/2015 6:44:13 PM
You know what is kind funny and sad? Apple watch wasn't even launched and got apps that WP took years to have, like instagram! It's not just about
    market share!
  • WFT? 3/9/2015 6:44:24 PM
The new macbook inner gizzards look to be groundbreaking. That's what i was looking for
  • Digital_Justine 3/9/2015 6:44:26 PM
So what is the real difference between the Macbook and the Macbook Air?
  • Benjamin 3/9/2015 6:44:30 PM
So are you out of luck when your iPhone dies before your Apple watch. Then what?
  • Steven Rounds 3/9/2015 6:44:35 PM
My favorite new Apple product is the new 12 inch MacBook. As for the Apple Watch, I'm going to pass on that, as I use a Note 4 for my phone, and this watch is Apple-centric. I've ordered a Rufus Cuff as my smart watch (I've got a Pebble now), because of its much larger screen, and the fact that the Rufus Cuff will work with both Android and Apple phones. For less money.
  • Winfred Cross 3/9/2015 6:44:37 PM
The presentation was fine. I'm really interested in the MacBook. Didn't see that coming. I'll be in the market in a couple of years. Very satisfied with my current MacBook. Wouldn't use anything else. The watch was what I expected. I don't think i need one. Might try the stainless steel or aluminum. I would buy the gold watch if I were rich or collected watches. Apple TV is a go as well.
  • Benjamin 3/9/2015 6:44:44 PM
So when the OS updates on the watch 2 yrs from now, does it makes it unusable like their other devices?
  • George 3/9/2015 6:44:51 PM
The Apple Watch Gold Edition with Red Modern Buckle is $24,000 in Australia WOW!
  • really !!!!! 3/9/2015 6:44:58 PM
10K$ for a watch... no way
  • Andrew 3/9/2015 6:44:59 PM
Hopefully we can get more Apple TV upgrades/other products next time...
  • mjtaylo 3/9/2015 6:45:08 PM
For 10,000 I better be able to say "Go Go Gadget: [Insert Genie Wish]" in to that watch and receive it instantly.
  • Like the price drop on the... 3/9/2015 6:45:12 PM
Will be getting the Apple TV. Everything else over priced.
  • Expected More 3/9/2015 6:45:18 PM
macbook at 1.2 GHz seems slow! Slower than my Air
  • Jen in Cleveland 3/9/2015 6:45:22 PM
Meh on the watch. More excited about HBO. Wonder why Cook didn't deliver the app stuff regarding the watch. He's a lot more interesting a presenter than the guy who actually presented.
  • chase 3/9/2015 6:45:28 PM
ill have to really think about if the apple watch is really worth it for $500-$1000. the battery life i can deal with. really let down by the products and updates of the event today. i was expecting a lot more.
  • Shara Tibken 3/9/2015 6:46:53 PM

    Apple Watch Sport line

  • Evan 3/9/2015 6:51:52 PM
Disappointed that the Apple TV was just a price drop and not a new hardware update. This is one product that has been long over due for a hardware and new UI. Apple Watch...... Lots to think about as far as getting one. I think Apple is hoping Devs come up with some great user applications for this watch.
  • Phil 3/9/2015 6:51:54 PM
I travel/fly frequently and see the watch as a great aid for boarding passes, flight, news, transportation updates etc. I don't think I need ALL the capabilities they've engineed for the watch, but I did say the same thing about the iPhone when it first came out.
  • TheBoMan 3/9/2015 6:51:56 PM
"Is anyone going to buy this?" Are you kidding me guys? You've been working at cnet long enough to know the trends. The watch is gonna be a monster. Wait til you see the lines just to ogle the watches when they first go on display in April.
  • Steven Rounds 3/9/2015 6:51:59 PM
I was hoping for the usual "Here's one more thing" moment, with a tease for the Apple Car or TV.
  • flinters 3/9/2015 6:52:01 PM
This new Watch features effortless design- as in no effort was made in producing a product anyone wants to either purchase or wear. Swing and a miss.
  • Brian Sparrow 3/9/2015 6:52:04 PM
    Store is back.
  • DukeNukem 3/9/2015 6:52:07 PM
The problem with the watch is that it needs an iPhone to function to it's full potential. If it can't operate on it's own merit then it becomes far less useful. Just use your phone with the larger screen.
  • Chris Salinas 3/9/2015 6:52:11 PM
I was so underwhelmed by the presentation. I would be ok with the Iwatch for $200, but definitely not for $350. The macbook looks cool.
  • Andrew Weckerly 3/9/2015 6:52:15 PM
I just bought an Asus UX305 for $600 with 256 SSD, Faster Core M processor, and 8 GB RAM - In what world would it make sense to spend an extra $700 on the new macbook?
  • AmpedPhoto 3/9/2015 6:52:23 PM
"All day battery" ... like my iPhone is supposed to have an all day battery but lasts 6hrs? So if I have bluetooth on and wifi on and gps on and I'm browsing Instagram (who would do that on a watch?) and answering calls with the speaker phone? I'm guessing that thing will actually last more like 8 hours and will continue to die down as you own it and put more apps and watch faces on it...

Had you told me it had a 7 day battery, MAYBE I would have paid $500... But less than half a day with actual usage? Nope. Good luck Apple.
  • @thenewstevejobs 3/9/2015 7:00:00 PM
I don't think the average joe is going to drop $400 on a first gen. device! As much as I want to go out and get it, I'm gonna have to wait till at least next years Apple Watch"S"
  • SteveP 3/9/2015 7:00:06 PM
Te Watch is not $350 (minimum)- it's $350 EVERY TWO YEARS when you figure in the technology refresh cycle. And even as a huge apple fan, they've yet to interest me in the least bit. The biggest disappointment in this and the last Apple event is the continued neglect of the iPad mini. We have two old non retina that I refuse to upgrade until the bring the chipsets up at least on par with the current phones.
  • flinters 3/9/2015 7:00:14 PM
At 18 hours of light use, it has 75% less battery life than the Samsung Gear or the days of use the Pebble designs have. You'll need to position charging cradles at work, home, etc. Or just don't use it much to get through the day. It's a trade off of using it and having a dead watch by end of day or not use it and make it through the day. That's not a balance I want to have to deal with.
  • Moaaz Alvi 3/9/2015 7:00:21 PM
Well I think the apple watch is a great product and it will dominate the market, but I think a lot of people will wait it out for the second generation. It looks like a comparison to the iPad Prices. iPad Mini and iPad Air 2 is what the watches are at except the uber luxury of Solid Gold. I think the Solid Gold position will hurt Apple in yearly updates? Free upgrades for a couple of years? $10k is pretty hefty for a watch and next year its updated
  • felicianoje 3/9/2015 7:00:58 PM
Google may be entering the mobile carrier market. How would Apple contribute to this should it decide to enter this market?
  • Michelle Meyers 3/9/2015 7:01:29 PM
Thanks all for joining us!! We're gonna call it quits now.
