    Improved front-facing FaceTime HD camera.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:27:31 PM
New FaceTime HD camera with larger pixels for better low-light performance, and better audio, too.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:27:47 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:27:54 PM
Supports "more LTE bands than any other smartphone in the world." 100Mbps download. Dual-band WiFi, too. Could this be a single phone for Apple worldwide?
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:27:55 PM
    100 Mbps download, 802.11 a/b/g/n
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:28:00 PM
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:28:12 PM
Those stat slides were very fast.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:28:19 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:28:19 PM
    16GB priced at $99, 32GB for $199. On-contract, of course.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:28:33 PM
The cases, of which there are six, are $29.
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:28:35 PM
    Tim, you picked it. $99 for 16GB, 32GB $199. And a two-year contract. $29 color cases.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:28:48 PM
"We worked really hard to make sure these products are designed in a very environmentally friendly way."
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:28:51 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:29:08 PM
Phil says they're not only toxin-free, but "Android-free" as well. Got a couple chuckles from that.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:29:12 PM
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:29:15 PM
Applause when he says "Android-free." hmmph
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:29:21 PM
Okay, time for Video. It's Jony Ive doing his thing.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:29:32 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:29:35 PM
"We believe the iPhone is an experience, and an experience is defined by hardware and software working together harmoniously."
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:29:43 PM
He's talking about "dynamically blurring the boundaries" between the two.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:29:56 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:30:11 PM
"iPhone 5C is beautifully, unapolgetically plastic. Multiple parts have been reduced to a single polycarbonate component whose service is continuous and seamless.
    "
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:30:20 PM
So, instant thought: the cases make the design a lot cooler. Could add additional Moto X design stylings. I think a lot of people are going to want this one (the 5C).
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:30:21 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:30:36 PM
We're seeing lots of slow plans with ridiculous macro shots, as per usual. Good luck ever getting your iPhone this clean.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:30:42 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:31:00 PM
We're seeing the manufacturing process now, of the polycarbonate getting moulded. There's a steel frame that's actually glued in.
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:31:00 PM
How shiny will the polycarbonate stay? How scuff-free? "single piece" with steel-reinforced frame.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:31:05 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:31:19 PM
Holes are machined, not molded, and the whole thing is actually provided with a lacquered glosscoat.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:31:21 PM
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:31:28 PM
I could see this phone being more bounce-on-the-pavement friendly.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:31:31 PM
"A solid, dense feel that you would not expect from a plastic product."
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:31:48 PM
Half an hour in, pretty fast and furious pace.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:31:51 PM
Now he's talking about the "soft, matte, microfiber-lined silicon" cases, a "very intentional contrast" to the gloss iPhone.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:31:52 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:32:22 PM
Craig is talking now, talking up the specs. He says the battery life is "impressive" but we haven't heard any figures quoted yet.
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:32:23 PM
I want to know how impressive the battery life is.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:32:31 PM
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:32:52 PM
That green is as bright as the sneakers on someone I saw this morning at the omelette bar.
