It took the iPhone business " to an entirely new level" says Tim.
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:21:57 PM
Big blue chart of increasing iPhone sales.
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:22:09 PM
Usually lower cost of older iPhone. Not this year.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:22:15 PM
"In the past, when we've launched a new iPhone, we lowered the cost of the old iPhone, making it more accessible to new people. But this year, we're not going to do that."
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:22:26 PM
Replace iPhone 5. With two devices.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:22:31 PM
"The business has become so large that this year we're going to replace the iPhone 5, and we're going to replace it with not one but two new designs."
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:22:33 PM
    Good-bye, iPhone 5!
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:22:41 PM
"This allows us to serve even more customers."
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:22:43 PM
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:22:57 PM
iPhone 5 becomes a footnote. Enter two new iPhones.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:22:57 PM
Phil Schiller is up on stage!
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:23:07 PM
    It's the iPhone 5C!
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:23:10 PM
iPhone 5C. Yes it's called that.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:23:14 PM
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:23:19 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:23:32 PM
"The iPhone 5C is made with all the incredible technology that customers have loved with the iPhone 5, but there's more, too. It has an incredible new design. One that's more fun, and more colorful than anything we've made before."
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:23:41 PM
"A few of you might have seen some shots on the web. And that's cool."
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:23:42 PM
"A few of you have maybe seen a few shots of this on the web, and that's cool, because everyone's really excited."
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:23:53 PM
"That's cool," really? What happened to doubling-down on security?
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:23:56 PM
Video of drippy paint colors. Pastels.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:24:08 PM
And there it is! We're seeing it in five colors: green, white, blue, red, and yellow.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:24:18 PM
The blue is particularly nice, a lovely shade of royal cyan. Definitely catching my eye.
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:24:19 PM
The exact same colors we expected. Green, grey, light blue, peach-ish, and yellow.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:24:37 PM
The buttons and controls on the side match the color too. It's a polycarbonate wrap-around back, that covers the sides. The front is glass, of course.
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:24:41 PM
I like the green, but that's because I'm an insufferable Jets fan.
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:24:45 PM
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:24:48 PM
"As close as you look you won't see seams or part lines or joins. It's absolutely gorgeous."
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:25:05 PM
Wahey, and the wallpaper in iOS 7 matches the color of the phone! "It creates an entire experience of color."
  • Josh Lowensohn 9/10/2013 5:25:08 PM

  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:25:22 PM
Glass front looks iPhone 5-like. Back somewhat reminiscent of iPod Touch but more like older iPhone.
  • Scott Stein 9/10/2013 5:25:25 PM
    Specific cases made for 5C.
  • Tim Stevens 9/10/2013 5:25:33 PM
"The team has created a really cool line of custom covers." They're silicon with a microfiber lining, and it has cutouts down toward the bottom. Weight savings?
