Greetings from the Google I/O press line! I think I know why they call it "press." We're getting ready to file in...
Jessica Dolcourt5/15/2013 3:21:40 PM
We heard the nerd cry from the floor down below (non-press) shouting their excitement. Rachel King says, "It's like Braveheart."
Jessica Dolcourt5/15/2013 3:30:28 PM
And we're in!
Tony5/15/2013 3:30:37 PM
I think we will see some huge changes to google maps,
Paul Sloan5/15/2013 3:31:42 PM

I think they need changes in google music
Vikram5/15/2013 3:35:36 PM
I would hate it if they brought out a new Nexus. I just got mine!

stephen.shankland5/15/2013 3:42:16 PM
There are more tracks at Google I/O for Chrome matters, but Android gets more attention. Here's one of the signs from the show.
ann5/15/2013 3:42:33 PM
wanna see NEXUS 5!!!
trudat5/15/2013 3:42:45 PM
3 hour or 2.5 hour keynote?
Paul Sloan5/15/2013 3:42:59 PM
@trudat - 2.5 is what's planned
seth.rosenblatt5/15/2013 3:44:08 PM
Officially, the keynote ends at 11:35 am PT
Adil5/15/2013 3:44:45 PM
What's happening at IO right now?
stephen.shankland5/15/2013 3:44:49 PM
Hey guys, Stephen Shankland here, too. Like Seth says, the keynote is supposed to end at 11:35 a.m., but if there's some Google Glass leaping-out-of-a-plane PR stunts it might go over.
EPIC-BRIAN5/15/2013 3:44:53 PM
Yo - Sup Brian Tong (Most EPPPIC GUY IN THE UNIVERSE)
Paul Sloan5/15/2013 3:45:16 PM
Shankland in the house!
Marguerite Reardon5/15/2013 3:45:26 PM
Maggie Reardon is on the live blog too!
stephen.shankland5/15/2013 3:46:03 PM
@Adil, it's just the opening keynote now, so about the only thing going on is that people are waiting in line or jockeying for seats at Moscone West. After the keynote ends, the developer sessions begin at 12:45 p.m. It's pretty nerdy stuff: developers.google.com

stephen.shankland5/15/2013 3:46:54 PM
@Trudat: It's a long keynote, but it's only one this year. In Google I/Os past, there was one on each of the first two days.
seth.rosenblatt5/15/2013 3:47:31 PM
As with years past, it was not unlike the scene in Indiana Jones where he saves his hat, but in reverse, followed by the running of the tech nerd bulls.
