We have Dan Ackerman, Scott Stein, and Daniel Terdiman live at the conference, along with a few other CNET types (Molly Wood, Brian Tong), doing what they do.
Hey, Scott Stein here as well. Seated at Microsoft, watching a giant green screen at the Galen Center as folks file in.
I'll be moderating comments, right up until the start of the show. After that we'll leave it to Dan, Scott, and Daniel.
Hey all -- Dan Ackerman here, seated just off the floor for a change. I'm usually up in the nosebleeds.
Either the crowd feels quieter, or I got here earlier.
As far back as I can remember, MS has done the first press conference of E3.
I'm actually interested to see if this Smart Glass thing comes off.
And, it's always the most competently produced one, with the best speakers, the fewest technical flubs.
@Dem0neyt, yup, the video feed will start at 12:30 ET
Oddly, I'd expect that from sony, with its big media background, but the Sony press conference is always punctuated with awkwardness.
I'm knee to knee with Scott Stein here at the Galen Center. I think we're literally in the same section as last year (sec. 112).
@Nickjjack: Halo 4, Kinect update, maybe this smart glass thing. New Gears of war.
I think my elbow just posted a question mark.
And Bakalar! Forgot to mention Jeff. He's at the show as well.
In the audience so far, lots of MacBooks, a smattering of iPads.
Someone next to me has a camcorder! I'm sitting in 2003.
Welcome, everyone! I think Xbox is doing something this morning. If not, there's going to be a lot of unhappy gamers/game journalists in LA. :-)
Judging by the big Halo 4 promotional mirror sticker I found in my hotel room, I'm guessing H4is going to be the big sell here.
Dawnguard is a 360 timed exclusive. Definitely expect to see something about it.
Personally, I'm interested in possible Windows 8 integration -- but I'm unsure what kind of useful form that could take.
What game is gonna kick off the press conference? Halo 4, Black Ops 2, Gears 4, or GTA 5?
What I use the Kinect for: voice-based Bing search. And...that's mostly it.
Or, Windows RT. As it's unfortunately called.
Halo RT! Had to get that out there.
hasn't started yet. 12:30 ET
