It'd be nice to see something new under the Xbox brand... Windows is a great brand but has a certain stigma to it. Xbox is an incredibly successful consumer brand, and a tablet attached to the Xbox brand would be great news.
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:02:13 PM
There is a distinct lack of dubstep in this room
  • Kent German 6/18/2012 11:02:15 PM
Since the event is in LA will we see any celebrities?
  • Samuel Herrera 6/18/2012 11:02:25 PM
Are those macs I see in the picture below? Who invited those guys?
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:03:02 PM
@Kent none so far. at least, none that I recognize
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:03:37 PM

Folks, we appreciate all your comments. But there are waaaay more of them than we can possibly post. Like, by a factor of several hundred or more. It's nothing personal if we don't get to yours.
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:06:07 PM
Could be either. I think I'm just hoping for a supercool tablet at this point
  • citriusjohn 6/18/2012 11:06:56 PM
Those are Surface colors. Surface is a MS hardware platform that is tightly controlled as well. They are tightly partnered with Samsung for the current Surface hardware. A Surface Tablet by Samsung seems like the answer to the big question.
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:07:12 PM
People are still filing in at a trickle, at this point
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:07:24 PM
ok, a voice is booming overhead
  • Guy From Appleton 6/18/2012 11:07:46 PM
I can't help but think that the tech media will be hypercritical about anything that attempts to be an iPad-killer. Because that's what's happened with all other iPad-killers. Apple, undoubtedly, has set a very high bar, but I just can't believe that NOTHING can compare favorably to the iPad. Yet, that's pretty much what I read.
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:07:49 PM
And back to music...even louder now

If it matches the '"xbox surface" specs (4 USB ports), that's going to be one girthy tablet
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:11:31 PM
If it actually plays Xbox games though, i won't complain...much
  • Eric Franklin 6/18/2012 11:11:40 PM
