Am assuming that the symbol's supposed to represent Nvidia’s Tegra 4 chip, Details about the Tegra 5 chip should be forthcoming this evening.
  • Ethan Sanford 1/6/2014 3:40:24 AM
Charles and what do you think Nvidia's strategy is for representing the crop circle as last year's chip?
  • charles.cooper 1/6/2014 3:41:20 AM
@Ethan...Just speculating, Ethan but I think this is just marketing to drum up interest prior to the news conference.
  • gunsman 1/6/2014 3:41:24 AM
nvidia teased this earlier "discover the truth about 192" via twitter, references the 192 cuda cores in a kepler smx. nvidia has said that they are planning on having a full kepler smx in their tegra 5 chips, tegra 5 confirmed for the conference?

    Here we go...
  • James Martin 1/6/2014 4:02:32 AM

    Nvidia CEO & co-founder Jen-Hsun Huang

  • Shara Tibken 1/6/2014 4:02:41 AM
Huang: You know Nvidia is singularly focused in one area, called visual computing. Made more contributions over past few years than all companies combined.
  • James Martin 1/6/2014 4:02:58 AM
  • Shara Tibken 1/6/2014 4:03:12 AM
Four areas: photorealism, GPU ever more programmable so can be used for more and more applications, extending the reach of virtual computing into mobile computing and virutalizing the GPU so we can put it in the cloud, Huang says.
  • Eric Franklin 1/6/2014 4:03:21 AM
Huang is sporting a leather jacket with a polo underneath this time. This time.
  • Shara Tibken 1/6/2014 4:03:34 AM
Going to show progress made in each direction. Context of three areas: games, chips, and cars, Huang says
  • Eric Franklin 1/6/2014 4:03:38 AM
    Games, chips, and cars?!!
  • James Martin 1/6/2014 4:03:41 AM
  • Eric Franklin 1/6/2014 4:03:56 AM
This should be interesting. Or just really weird.
  • Shara Tibken 1/6/2014 4:03:58 AM
Huang says he's a little under the weather. That's a common complaint in Vegas today
  • Shara Tibken 1/6/2014 4:04:25 AM
Games. Next-generation gaming has started so has next generation PC gaming. For Nvidia, PC gaming starts with GeForce, Huang says
  • James Martin 1/6/2014 4:04:29 AM
  • Eric Franklin 1/6/2014 4:04:37 AM
Talking GeForce now. It's what I have at home currently.
  • Shara Tibken 1/6/2014 4:04:39 AM
Not only is it the most advanced GPU, also turns PC into an amazing game console, Huang says
  • James Martin 1/6/2014 4:05:01 AM
  • Eric Franklin 1/6/2014 4:05:19 AM
Geforce Experience is a great concept, but doesn't always work as intended in my experience.
  • James Martin 1/6/2014 4:05:37 AM
  • Shara Tibken 1/6/2014 4:05:46 AM
On the one hand, whenever add new CPU or GPU to new PC, recognizes new capabilities. Can enjoy games in high fidelity with more realism, Huang says of GeForce Experience
  • Eric Franklin 1/6/2014 4:06:02 AM
    Talking GameStream now.
  • Shara Tibken 1/6/2014 4:06:06 AM
Enjoy the wonderful graphics on any display you like. We invented a technology called GameStream, Huang says.
