Chinese website IT168 leaks what are supposedly pix of the new Galaxy phone
  • charles.cooper 3/14/2013 10:42:58 PM
"They don't want to be Blackberried." Ouch. May be quote du jour.
  • Jessica Dolcourt 3/14/2013 10:42:59 PM
And now the Wi-Fi that was tested for 3K people is starting to slooooow down.
  • MIke_Erie 3/14/2013 10:43:00 PM
I downgraded from the s3 to the orig. Samsung Nexus because of the bloatware, both from Samsung itself and Verizon in this case. What do you all think about rooting your phone. Not interested in bloatware!!!
  • technophile 3/14/2013 10:43:08 PM
@john.falcone your wrong. there are much more innovations to that in samsung. That's the case for apple though (as seen in the newer generation of ipads and iphones). Samsung has all those jazz along with innovation, such as dual screens etc.... There are many rumors about S4 having something to do with 3d. Just sit back and watch the show.
  • Roger Cheng 3/14/2013 10:43:09 PM
Yeah, I'd be surprised if we were surprised by anything that comes out at this show. There have been so many leaks.
  • @ag14 3/14/2013 10:43:18 PM
I had a few lockscreen problems with my gs3 but overall it was a great phone. Im hoping to get the gs4 asap
  • sarahtew 3/14/2013 10:43:23 PM

Journalists filming each other as we wait. Call it warming up.

  • madmacs 3/14/2013 10:43:25 PM
I love android, first thing I do when I buy a new phone is root it and get rid of bloatware. Then tweak everything just how I like. Always a tingling sensation hoping not to brick a new device, lol.
  • mistercruz89 3/14/2013 10:43:26 PM
You guys should do the Harlem Shake. @Briantong looks ready.
  • Twat 3/14/2013 10:43:27 PM
Lets get this show on the road
  • Roger Cheng 3/14/2013 10:43:29 PM
Of course, some leaks may not pan out, so I guess we'll see.
  • Waikwong 3/14/2013 10:43:34 PM
Come on Samsung, if you leave Android 4.2 alone, I will consider S4! S3 is really crap, it freezes at anytime and the sound for GPS is not working right. you guys really got used to that? or it's just me?
  • dannnn 3/14/2013 10:43:57 PM
iPhoner lovers watching this stream, love it...

  • Roger Cheng 3/14/2013 10:44:20 PM
Wow, some Brazilian guy just barked at one of the ushers to pose and smile for a picture. Way to get a nice photo, buddy.
  • Rajko_M 3/14/2013 10:44:20 PM
If this cell phone will not be made of a metal casing, then is a huge failure. Greetings from Croatia.
  • Henry 3/14/2013 10:44:25 PM
The only bad thing here is, it's hard to get excited over the new Samsung because it's not just about the phone, it's really just another Android phone. Now if Samsung had their own OS like Apple does, that would be something to get excited about.
  • QuikMix 3/14/2013 10:44:30 PM
I think both Apple and Samsung have done amazing jobs at branding. Consumers are definitely conditioned for it.
  • marknalana 3/14/2013 10:44:51 PM
Hope the s4 is waay better than previous because I like S3
  • Clayton Sullivan 3/14/2013 10:44:57 PM
Roger and Jessica.. All the best .. and keep them coming :) We are waiting!!!
  • Raamish 3/14/2013 10:45:02 PM
    Greetings from Dubai ;)
  • sarahtew 3/14/2013 10:45:55 PM

Dan Ackerman pushes up the glasses and gets down to work.

  • Roger Cheng 3/14/2013 10:45:57 PM
I swear there is no Apple bias, but four out of the six of us here are rocking iPhones. Maggie has a GS3, and Dan Ackerman says he's considering an Android phone because of "Screen envy."
  • Roger Cheng 3/14/2013 10:46:07 PM
The GS4 will almost certainly feature a bigger screen.
  • Raamish 3/14/2013 10:46:13 PM
iPhone 5 is hands down the best phone. Look at what Apple has done with integration - Apple TV, iTunes, MAC, time capsule, etc. when you get a new iPhone plug into iTunes and you are up and running in 5 minutes. How about apple care? No android based phone can touch this level of integration.
  • Ridingblind 3/14/2013 10:46:31 PM
I wonder if the Androids would have taken off as much as they have if Apple had caved and built a phone with a larger/wider screen
  • 4=death 3/14/2013 10:46:34 PM
I5 has 1.3 ghz processor. You can't market that in the real world for 199 especially because 4 inches is tiny. Did you see the s3 launch ads with the i5 lines? The guy with the s3 was like me. Holding a spot for his parents while playing with his new phone
  • Fabrice 3/14/2013 10:46:48 PM
It's funny everyone praise the Galaxy and ow the awesome the S4 will be but they (almost) all use iphones... I think I'll stick with the crew even if it's just for the apps library that beats the andriods!!!
  • Rox 3/14/2013 10:47:06 PM
@JimmyG So very wrong. Google has done a great job of allowing you to sync through your Gmail account. It's not the same "locked in" that Apple has with the phone and iTunes but I much prefer that.
  • Stallard84 3/14/2013 10:47:14 PM
When do you think the release date will be. Desperately waiting to upgrade from an HTC thunderbolt. . .Hopefully sooner than later
  • Gary Ryckewaert 3/14/2013 10:47:16 PM
I am curious about the new galaxy (obviously since I am here, LOL), but right now I am all about the HTC ONE, can't wait. I find this whole reveal and hype machine hilarious.
  • Jessica Dolcourt 3/14/2013 10:47:25 PM
Major offense: Dan Ackerman went to the Momofuku Milk Bar yesterday and didn't invite me. I swear this is relevant.
  • Stallard84 3/14/2013 10:48:04 PM
I think HTC's Problem is more with their updates. Takes FOREVER for them to roll out their updates.
  • Tonarheim 3/14/2013 10:48:19 PM
Marketing..that's it. I think ppl care more about whats being talked about than the quality of the product - quite logical as the top phones are so alike in the big picture
  • Clayton Sullivan 3/14/2013 10:48:26 PM
I am not believing the leaks .. until I see what's released .. Can't bear the wait time.. :(
  • BryanP 3/14/2013 10:48:35 PM
Sounds like your opinion is biased and based of little research. If you weren't aware, Android is developed by google who innovates not only in their mobile division but in other endevours as well. And to counterpoint your argument, google has Google TV, clouding VIA Gmail (photos music videos and documents) , no 3rd party software required (i.e itunes which the general consensus is that it is a useless program which most people find frustrating)
  • Jessica Dolcourt 3/14/2013 10:48:54 PM
I'm playing Name That Show Tune with myself. I think the last one was Gary, Indiana from The Music Man. This one is stumping me.
  • Broom Broom 3/14/2013 10:48:55 PM
Are you kidding about the display - we have both iPhone and 4S and Samsung S3 here at home - the S3 screen is georgous. Dare I say: Apple generated meme?? Come on folks, use YOUR eyes! Not Phil Schiller's. :))
  • myles.riley 3/14/2013 10:49:25 PM
I'm excited for the GS4 but even more excited to see what it has to offer. I do believe I'm gonna wait u til the Note III comes out, it can only get better!
  • Gus 3/14/2013 10:49:56 PM

  • Matt 3/14/2013 10:50:08 PM
So happy to see the BOL crew back together. Missed you Molly!!
  • Phynomtalk 3/14/2013 10:50:10 PM
The Galaxy Note with a stylus, which brought back that original Windows Mobile feel, is the pinnacle of phones. What can't I do with a phone that you can write on. I can sign PDF doc on my phone, have people scribble their contact info down. GNII is the best!!!!
  • Caspid 3/14/2013 10:50:34 PM
My biggest concerns, given Samsung's bad track record: design (still ugly, but improved over the S3), camera (better have better picture quality than the iPhone 5's, not just MPs), and battery life (2600.. eh)
