Chromecast looks like a winner. One potential issue they glossed over: they talk about TV being connected to the best speakers in the house. That's true, but usually through a separate receiver/amplifier. If plugged in there, will it still work as advertized?
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:17:59 PM
Of course, we'll have full reviews of the new Nexus 7, Chromecast, and Android 4.3 just as soon as we can get them.
  • Matthew Ablon 7/24/2013 5:19:35 PM
Will the 2012 model of the Nexus 7 get 4.3 today as well?
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:19:56 PM
@Matthew: Yes, over the air updates will start today.
  • iplayesp 7/24/2013 5:20:01 PM
    No Moto X announcement?
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:20:18 PM
@iplayesp: no, that is next week.
  • JustDozie 7/24/2013 5:21:19 PM
Chrome Cast. Google's answer to an Apple TV?
  • Jamal 7/24/2013 5:22:01 PM
There wasn't any mentioning of an updated nexus 10 tablet can we expect something soon?
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:22:41 PM
@Jamal: Not until September or after, I think.
  • UK_Resident.... 7/24/2013 5:22:57 PM
When will this be available in the UK? I can't wait to get my hands on this!
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:23:37 PM
@UK_Resident: they didn't say, unfortunately. Hopefully, we'll know soon.
  • Display Name: 7/24/2013 5:23:57 PM
  • Domo 7/24/2013 5:24:02 PM
How long until CNET has a full review including benchmarks for the Nexus 7?
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:24:47 PM
@Domo: As soon as we can get a device. That will be very soon, I hope!
  • Alex 7/24/2013 5:26:20 PM
The only thing that kept Google TV and the Nexus Q from being a success was the price. Chromecast will be a hit.
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:26:59 PM
@Alex: That, and the fact that the Nexus Q was basically useless.
  • Sid 7/24/2013 5:27:27 PM
Is there a flash in the Nexus 7's camera?
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:27:55 PM
@Sid: Didn't hear that, and doubt it.
  • Kent German 7/24/2013 5:31:54 PM
