Microsoft E3 2012 Press Conference

Live coverage of Microsoft's major E3 news

This RE6 footage is of an action game. The classic survial-horror that made the franchise so popular is very absent from this demo. There's not even an ammo count for crying out loud!
  • James Martin 6/4/2012 5:36:01 PM
  • Daniel Terdiman 6/4/2012 5:36:31 PM
@Chang Lee That's a good point. But this is a slow year for new exclusives, so I think they don't have much of a choice.
  • Jeff Bakalar 6/4/2012 5:37:12 PM
It's amazing when you look at the difference between RE4 and RE6. Night and day is an understatement.

South Park! "We have been betrayed." This I can get behind.
  • Scott Stein 6/4/2012 5:40:17 PM
Best game of the show: South Park.

How to save a press conference: SOUTH PARK
  • James Martin 6/4/2012 5:41:13 PM
  • Daniel Terdiman 6/4/2012 5:41:20 PM
Why did they save this for near the end? They should have led with this! It's "South Park: The Stick of Truth." March 5, 2013.
  • Scott Stein 6/4/2012 5:41:32 PM
Trey Parker! Matt Stone! E3 just got interesting.
  • Daniel Terdiman 6/4/2012 5:41:36 PM
And here's Tre Parker and Matt Stone, "South Park" creators, on stage! Huge cheer!
  • Scott Stein 6/4/2012 5:41:53 PM
He just disemboweled Microsoft's second screen idea.
  • James Martin 6/4/2012 5:42:05 PM
  • Daniel Terdiman 6/4/2012 5:42:26 PM
Only way we'd want to do a 'South Park" game was to make a game that made it feel like you were in an episode of "South Park," they say.

  • Jeff Bakalar 6/4/2012 5:44:31 PM
Here we go with Dance Central 3. My wife is ecstatic.
  • Jeff Bakalar 6/4/2012 5:44:47 PM
    Holy crap it's Usher
  • Daniel Terdiman 6/4/2012 5:45:01 PM
And now on to Dance Central 3. With Usher touting it. And doing a live dance routine.
  • James Martin 6/4/2012 5:45:32 PM
  • John Falcone 6/4/2012 5:45:41 PM
This is the part of the press conference that turns into a 1970s variety show.
  • James Martin 6/4/2012 5:46:03 PM
  • Scott Stein 6/4/2012 5:46:34 PM
(WARNING: results at home may not resemble dance segment by Usher)
  • James Martin 6/4/2012 5:46:49 PM
  • Jeff Bakalar 6/4/2012 5:47:15 PM
This is probably the earliest in the morning Usher has ever had to perform. I'm tired just watching him.
  • Daniel Terdiman 6/4/2012 5:47:27 PM
They have a long history of bringing out music's giants at Xbox E3 pressers. For example, a couple years ago, they had Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. And now Usher. ;-)
  • Scott Stein 6/4/2012 5:47:30 PM
This all brings me back to: Trey and Matt should have delivered the Microsoft keynote.
  • Daniel Terdiman 6/4/2012 5:47:49 PM
    @Scott Seriously.
  • James Martin 6/4/2012 5:47:54 PM

Was writing a story real quick, but I'm back now... this is pretty cool. Always interesting to see what kind of star power these console companies can pull out.
  • John Falcone 6/4/2012 5:48:41 PM
So, any big "one more thing" announcement still to come?
  • Daniel Terdiman 6/4/2012 5:48:48 PM
    @Scott LOL!
  • dan.ackerman 6/4/2012 5:48:51 PM
MS has Paul and Ringo a couple of years ago for Beatles Rock Band.
