Roger Cheng 4/2/2014 11:56:30 PMIt's interesting (somewhat) to note that green was the dominant color at Mobile World Congress. Here? More like orange. One of the executives is actually wearing an orange sweater (and orange button on his shirt) to color coordinate. That's some forethought.

Josh Miller 4/2/2014 11:56:30 PM
-
Roger Cheng 4/2/2014 11:57:01 PMBut the Nokia reps outside of the event space are still wearing green, which Stephen Elop told me represented the company's eco friendly position.
-
Tim Stevens 4/2/2014 11:57:10 PM@benroethig predicts the Lumia 930 -- Them NOT showing the 930 would be a shocker. Question is, how many colors, and why not the US?

Tim Stevens 4/2/2014 11:58:22 PM@LeoCzaplicki says "Maybe it will be the ability to play farmville 2 on our #WindowsPhones" -- Is that something we really want, or can really handle, as a society?

-
TEDWARDS 4/2/2014 11:59:09 PMI really want to buy a windows phone because I like the simplicity and OS, its just there isn't much apps on it for me to buy one and because no one buys them no one develops for them its all a circle. But I hope that changes :D
-
Josh Miller 4/2/2014 11:59:21 PM

Tim Stevens 4/2/2014 11:59:28 PMLe sigh.
-
Roger Cheng 4/3/2014 12:00:08 AMYep, apps are still a big shortfall for Windows Phone OS. But Elop says that they're adding 500 a day to the store. That's progress.
-

-
Roger Cheng 4/3/2014 12:02:09 AMA video of a Finnish band performing the Nokia ringtone plays. I guess this is to demonstrate the audio quality of the new phones.
-
Roger Cheng 4/3/2014 12:02:27 AMIt makes sense that after pushing camera and visual for so long, Nokia would turn to audio.
-
Josh Miller 4/3/2014 12:02:29 AM
-
Tim Stevens 4/3/2014 12:02:34 AMFun fact: Mr. Elop is wearing lime green Converse All Stars.

Josh Miller 4/3/2014 12:04:30 AM
-
Roger Cheng 4/3/2014 12:04:42 AMFrom being out in the field and looking at competitive devices at lower price points, the chances you'll get a low-end phone with updated OS on Android is slim, so we're proud of this, he says.
-
Roger Cheng 4/3/2014 12:05:02 AMHe pulls out the Lumia 930.
-
Roger Cheng 4/3/2014 12:05:16 AMIt's the best we have to offer with Lumia and best Microsoft has to offer, Elop says.
-
Tim Stevens 4/3/2014 12:05:23 AMThe 930 Elop is showing is orange, which matched his shoes he was wearing earlier. I'm now wondering how many people he has to help him coordinate his shoes with his phones. Obviously he needs more.
