Josh Lowensohn 10/29/2012 5:13:35 PMFirst up, Live Tiles. Belfiore going over some basic features like pinning them around the phone's start screen. With WIn8 you can reconfigure the sizes and the arrangement, Belfiore notes. "Your phone becomes like your fingerprint," he says.
-
Jessica Dolcourt 10/29/2012 5:13:39 PMI do like that live tiles are resizable, and there's a lot more screen real estate now, so you can smoosh more tiles up front.

Lock screen powered by Live Apps
-
Josh Lowensohn 10/29/2012 5:15:37 PMBelfiore plays up that smartphone lockscreen wallpapers are boring, you eventually just tune it out. Instead, the company's putting apps there to make it more useful and personalized. That includes photos, notifications, and content from apps. You can tweak this to be sports scores, photos, deals of the day, etc.

MattyV 10/29/2012 5:20:24 PMHow much data do live tiles utilize where every single kb matters for me on a 2GB/month plan?

DFB 10/29/2012 6:16:30 PMI'm as sold as free money! I need to get me that 920 as soon as hits the nearest border. Curious about that 7.8 update and about the music apps, in terms of sound quality I just can't opt for a WP source just yet, I love my Lumia 800 but the sound's just not there. I'm as hopeful as one can get, here's for hitting Italy in a couple of months and copping that ish!

Tommy Armstrong 10/29/2012 6:18:33 PMI think people in here have to realize that the audience was not techies and bloggers but the general public. That kid's corner will reasonate with parents and grand parents (I know would like it so could hand off my phone to my 4 year old granddaughter). And
